Policy in action is a distinguishing CDF characteristic. Through our Beat the Odds® program, CDF Freedom Schools® program, and Youth Advocacy Leadership (YALTSM) program, we plant the seeds to develop the next generation of servant-leaders who will continue to reweave the fabric of community for children and youth.
The Children’s Defense Fund Leave No Child Behind® mission is to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities.
